Bottom line, I picked up around 7-8kg over the past year. I was too skinny, but I shouldn&#8217;t let things get out of hand too much. I&#8217;m exercising quite a bit now, so it should come down again.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I took part in a local radio station&#8217;s mtb race over the weekend. It rained the week and night before the race and it was extremely muddy. You guys should see what my bike looked like. I did the (close to) 40km, but there was also a 20km and a kiddy race.</p>
<p>The radio station is quite popular and apparently there was close to 2500 riders. The race featured a lot of single track and I struggled to get through the crowds. Quite frustrating at times, but I&#8217;m hardly on form, so I did manage to keep the legs fresh by getting stuck in the queues.</p>
<p>Oh and I managed to do a bit of a face-plant half way through the race. I fell down on a downhill, trying to overtake some of the slower peeps and fell face first in the grass. Looks like I&#8217;ve been in a bar fight, but luckily its healing quickly.

I also asked a doctor if I&#8217;m ok to start again, and she said I should be fine if I slowly start my training programme again.</p>
<p>So I had to go into work on Saturday and decided to cycle it. I&#8217;m staying at a new place, so I have to figure out a new safe-ish route to work.</p>
<p>I took the ride very easy and only averaged 14km/h!! I reckon I could have walked faster than that! It felt great being on the bike again and can&#8217;t wait to start gunning it again.
